heneedsof the individualswhomakeup thecutaneous
lymphomacommunityareat thecenterof all ofourprograms
andservicesat theCutaneousLymphomaFoundation.Over the
past fewmonths,Foundation leadersandstaffhavebeenworking
diligently to improveuponourprogramsandservices tomakesure
thatwearemeeting theseneedseffectively.
Recently, theFoundationhired itsfirstDirectorofPrograms
andServices tobegin improvementuponandexpansionof its
existingprograms.This is thefirstofmanysteps that theFounda-
tionwillbe taking tomakesure thatwecontinue tobringyou the
bestpossibleservice.
During thenext fewmonths, theFoundationwillundertake
aNeedsAssessment, an important initiative thatwill survey
patients, caregivers, andmedicalprofessionals in thecutaneous
lymphomacommunitygiving themanopportunity toshare their
needswithus.Through it,weaim to learnmoreaboutwhat is
most important toourpatients, caregivers, and themedicalprofes-
sionalswhocare for them.The feedbackwe receive from itwill
helpusmake importantdecisionsaboutwhat currentprograms
andservicesshould remain,whichshouldbeenhanced, andwhich
weshouldconsideradding for the future.
Participating inourNeedsAssessment isagreatopportunity
forpatients, caregivers, andmedicalprofessionals tohelpshape
the futuredirectionof theCutaneousLymphomaFoundation.
Survey informationwillbeemailedviaoure-newsletterand
listserv, and itwillbesharedonourwebsite, sowatch for those
detailscomingsoon.
Eachparticipant inourNeedsAssessmentwillbeprovided
withapost-assessment reportdetailingoutcomes from this
initiative.And, four luckypatientparticipantswill eachwina$25
gift card toTarget;moredetailsabout theneedsassessmentand
drawingwillbeshared inearly2011.
