TheInternationalSociety forCutaneousLymphomas
(ISCL)and thecutaneous lymphoma task forceof the
EuropeanOrganizationofResearchandTreatment
ofCancer (EORTC) recommends revisions to the
MycosisFungoidesCooperativeGroupclassification
andstagingsystem forcutaneousT-cell lymphoma
(CTCL).These revisionsaremade to incorporate
advances related to tumorcellbiologyanddiagnostic
techniquesas itpertains tomycosis fungoides (MF)
andSezarysyndrome (SS) since the 1979publicationof
theoriginalguidelines, toclarifycertainvariables that
currently impedeeffective interinstitutionand interin-
vestigatorcommunicationand/or thedevelopmentof
standardizedclinical trials inMFandSS, and topro-
videaplatform for trackingothervariablesofpotential
prognosticsignificance.
